The Perfect Wedding Program

I’m always on the lookout for companies within the wedding space that are doing really cool and innovative work to make the wedding planning process just a little easier for couples.

One part of wedding planning that can often bog couples down is stationary — there are SO many combinations of colors, fonts, text, and shapes. Rather than designing these ENTIRELY on your own, I found an excellent company to help you out.

Wedding Invitations 101

Wedding invitations serve as the official announcement of a couple’s upcoming event and set the tone for the big day. They provide important details such as the date, time, and location of the wedding, as well as any dress code or special requests. They serve as a formal announcement, a keepsake, and a way to build excitement. Look – I’m not a graphic designer. It’s not something I have a particular skill set in, but I do appreciate great design.

Basic Invite

Look no further than Basic Invite for your wedding stationery. This company offers an extensive collection of cards for any occasion, but their wedding programs are particularly impressive. I really like their wedding placecards — they are super high end and much more classy than if you went down the DIY path. (They also have a really great collection of guest books —this would be a great addition to your photo booth!)

These cards are really modern, and much-more stylish that I could come up with. It really takes a lot of the guesswork out of it. One of the biggest advantages of Basic Invite is their almost unlimited color options (for all of you with VERY specific wedding colors!) With over 180 colors to choose from, you can customize every element of your invite to match your wedding theme — like literally, SO much customizations. In addition to their impressive color options, Basic Invite also offers foil cards in gold, silver, and rose gold. You can choose flat or raised foil on all of their designs.

Their editor is really easy to use, and you can see how your invite will look before you place your order. I found myself designing mockups for hours in their editor: it’s super easy, just drag and drop.

Another unique feature of Basic Invite is their custom sample option. You can order a printed sample of your actual invitation before you place your final order. This way, you can see the paper quality and how it will print, and make sure the card is perfect. If you’re trying to match your stationary to other decor items, this is really handy.

Here’s the builder in action!

There’s over 40 different envelope colors to choose from, so you can make your envelope match your invitation. They even offer a unique link to request your friends and family’s addresses via social media and have them printed on your envelopes at no additional cost —nice and streamlined.

Right now, Basic Invite is offering a special deal of 15% off with coupon code: 15FF51. So don’t wait, head over to Basic Invite and start creating your dream wedding invitations today.
